Mark Lanegan, the former member of Queens of the Stone Age, and Afghan Whigs’ man Greg Dulli together are The Gutter Twins, and they play the Róisín Dubh on Saturday January 17 at 8pm.
Lanegan and Dulli have been involved with some of the most fascinating bands of the last 15/20 years. Lanegan was in Screaming Trees, Mad Season, and Soulsavers, but is best known for his work with punk/metal band Queens of the Stone Age (he left the band in 2005 but still helps out from time to time ) and for his two acclaimed folk/blues/roots albums with singer Isobel Campbell.
Dulli has been a member of The Afghan Whigs and The Twilight Singers and is a highly respected songwriter and musician. With Lanegan he formed The Gutter Twins in 2003 and the pair released their debut album Saturnalia earlier this year. Pitchforkmedia.com proclaimed Lanegan and Dulli as “two of alt-rock’s greatest front-men.” Tickets are already selling fast so don’t delay.
Tickets are available from the Róisín Dubh and Zhivago.
