Following recent tragic events on Lough Corrib, Collinamuck Angling club has decided to donate €5 from every entry received in the upcoming annual Collinamuckcup open wet fly competition to the Irish Red Cross Corrib Mask rescue boat.
Speaking at the launch of this year’s competition, Lionel Flanagan, PRO of Collinamuck angling club said: “The important work that is carried out by the volunteers of the Corrib Mask rescue boat is sometimes forgotten by us anglers and is only remembered when we see their involvement in the recent tragic events which took place on the lake. We hope this small token will help the Corrib Mask rescue boat continue to provide this vital resource to Connacht anglers and visitors alike.”
This year’s competition will take place on Sunday April 22 from Collinamuck pier and entry forms can be obtained by emailing [email protected] or by download from the Facebook page Collinamuck angling club.
