A seven-course Taste of the West in Aid of Cancer Care West

Three Galway chefs are joining forces to provide a unique dinner in aid of Cancer Care West.

Heather Flaherty, head chef at Gourmet Tart Company, colleague Damien O’Malley, and Sinéad Johnstone of Love2Cook will create a seven-course “Taste of the West” dinner as part of the upcoming Galway Food Festival.

The Pop Up Restaurant will be held on Sunday, April 8 at St Jude’s Bed and Breakfast, Lower Salthill.

“This is a chance to do something trendy and exciting at a time when the city will be focused on the fine food that Galway has to offer,” says Heather Flaherty. “ We’re hoping this truly will be a meal to remember.”

The seven-course ‘Taste of the West’ menu features the best of Galway spring produce from the land and sea, including langoustine, lamb, cockles, leeks, rhubarb and wild nettle.

The restaurant will open for one night only at 7pm in the restored 1920s bed and breakfast at St Jude’s on Lower Salthill Road. Tickets are €75.00 and spaces are limited.
