THE GALWAY Arts Centre will hold two workshops this month, one catering for Leaving Cert students, the other for those interested in sculpture.
Both classes will be facilitated by Allison Regan who recently completed a master’s in sculpture and teaching from Louisiana State University.
The art portfolio – final preparation class takes place on Saturday March 24 and Saturday 31 from 1pm to 4pm.
The class will assist prospective third level students considering art, industrial design, architecture, interior design, fine art conservation, illustration, costume and stage design, and art therapy courses, for which a portfolio is mandatory. The cost is €70.
The from paper to sculpture class begins on Wednesday March 21, from 11am to 1pm, and runs for eight weeks. It is suitable for practising artists interested in expanding their skill set in sculpture, 3D art, design and fabrication. The cost is €140/130.
