St Mary's College travel this afternoon to Tullamore to take on St Aidan's Community School, Cork, in the FAIS Senior Schools All Ireland semi-final.
The city school will be attempting to reach its third final since 2006, having previously been crowned Irish champions that year and again 2010.
The Munster opponents won their first provincial title last week after an impressive 4-3 win over CBS Sexton St, Limerick, while St Mary's picked up their 10th Connacht title recently following an exciting encounter with Presentation Headford on a 2-1 scoreline. They will again look to captain Ruairi Lavelle, defenders Colm Kirrane and Harry Goulding plus midfielders Sean O'Faharta and Arron McGinty, to produce the kind of performances that have been a hallmark of the city school this season. Kick off is 2.45pm at the Leah Victoria grounds, home of Tullamore FC.
