Cuba Libre to play final gig

AFTER EIGHT years, Galway based Latin and salsa band Cuba Libre are calling it a day and will play their final gig in KRCMA Slavic House, Salthill, tomorrow.

Over the years the band, whose members hail from Uruguay, Mexico, Spain, Italy, and Ireland, have played residencies in Bar 903 and Massimo as well as playing different festivals around the country.

“It’s been a fantastic journey,” said lead singer Andres Martorell. “Everytime we travel away and mention to people in other countries, they cannot believe about how the public, our friends, and dancers have supported us. Eight years of salsa night gigs In Ireland, it was a beautiful miracle.”

Admission is €10.
