Great ways to get in shape at the Coast Club

It is that time of the year again, we have piled on a few pounds and our clothes are feeling a little snug. Now is the perfect time to make a new start and increase your energy levels for the year ahead.

The Coast Club staff at the Connemara Coast Hotel, Furbo, will provide you with some helpful tips and advice on how to get the most out of your workouts.

While healthy living is a life-long lifestyle choice, we can all make small changes in our daily lives that will make a large impact on our physical and mental health. Once we begin to see results, this will motivate us to achieve greater levels of fitness. Read on for some more inspiration.

If the gym is not for you and you find it hard to motivate yourself on your own then the Coast Club has an extensive range of fitness classes to get you started. Group training can sometimes be the way to go.

Zumba

Zumba is a Latin-inspired, easy to follow, calorie burning, dance fitness party. You do not need to be fit, or be a dancer. Wear comfortable clothing, bring water for hydration and a big smile.

Aqua aerobics

Water based exercises for all, great for resistance with cardio and providing low impact exercises.

Swimming lessons

Swimming lessons are available to adults and children of all abilities. You are never too old to learn.

Classes

The Coast Club has a range of classes to suit all your needs. Work the tummy with an abs class, or sculpt your body with body sculpt and total body. Improve flexibility and core strength through yoga.

Vibro plate

The vibro plate works by using different body poses to build strength, tone, and stretch different muscle groups. The training is low impact to allow anyone to train regardless of age or fitness levels. Training on the vibro plate will help improve muscle tone, flexibility, range of movement, and circulation to aid weight loss. The use of the vibro plate is free to all members.

Younger members

With the younger generation in mind the Coast Club offers a range of activities including teen gym, swimming lessons, splash hour, and more. Keeping the family active and entertained over the mid term and summer holidays can be stressful. The Coast Club has created an exciting and energetic programme to ensure you and your children have a fantastic break.

Therapy rooms

When all the hard work is done why not indulge yourself from head to toe in one of the therapy rooms, with a choice of treatments such as massages, Anesi facials, ear candle treatments, Belfeet professional foot care, and the Coast Club’s signature manicures and pedicures.

Test the water

If you would like to ‘test the water’ call to organise a free pass to see the facilities at the Coast Club. There is ample free parking and the stunning coastal location is the perfect escape to fitness.
