Mark Kennedy, a driving force behind The Galway Famine Memorial committee and the Galway Famine Ship Memorial Project, will give a public lecture on The Famine tonight.
Mr Kennedy will deliver a lecture to the Old Galway Society entitled Hollywood, Skibbereen, and the death of Celia Griffin.
The talk will take place in the Convent of Mercy Hall, Newtownsmith, at 8.30pm, followed by a reception afterwards in the Victoria Hotel. All are welcome.
