Paul Roe and Contempo in concert

PAUL ROE, the distinguished clarinettist, will join the ConTempo Quartet for a concert in St Nicholas’ Collegiate Church on Friday February 17 at 8pm.

The programme for the concert will feature music by Joseph Franz Haydn, Bela Kovács, Alexander Krein, and the Clarinet Quintet, Op 115, widely regarded as Johannes Brahms’ supreme achievement in chamber music.

Paul Roe regularly performs as a soloist and with ensembles and orchestras throughout Ireland, Europe, and America. In 2008 he received a Fulbright Scholars award to study Klezmer performance at Mannes College of Music, New York, where he worked with the internationally acclaimed clarinettist David Krakauer.

Tickets are €10/7 and are available on the door. Those up to age 16 are admitted free.
