MONROE’S LIVE will host a number of gigs this weekend as part of the Once Upon A Time Back The West mini-festival.
Tomorrow at 10pm, Irish rock’n’roll trio Kopek, who are influenced by the Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix, The Doors, and Led Zeppelin, will take to the stage. Check out their new single ‘Floridian’, which is out this month. Admission is €7.
Dublin quartet The Shoos play on Saturday at 9.30pm. Their lead singer calls himself Texas and has a vocal style that shows the imprint of Joe Cocker and John Fogarty. The band isbest known for it’s hit single ‘Distance’. Admission is €7.
Switching from rock to hip-hop, on Sunday at 10pm, it is the turn of Limerick’s Campaign LK. They first came to wide attention after supporting The Rubberbandits on their nationwide Horse Outside Tour in 2010/11. Expect a high energy performance on the night. Admission is €5.
