Dubray Books to celebrate ten years of bookselling

Dubray Books on Shop Street will celebrate 10 years of bookselling in Galway on Friday November 28 with readings, discounts, and refreshments.

Starting at 5.30pm, the shop will play host to local authors, provide entertainment, and supply refreshments. There will also be 10 per cent off almost everything in the shop.

Dubray Books began in 1988 when Gemma and Kevin Barry took over ownership of the Bray Bookshop from Gemma’s mother, Helen Clear. In 1990 they opened a second shop on Dublin’s Grafton Street.

In 1998 they opened a store on Shop Street. Dubray Books now has eight shops around Ireland, continues to be a family run company, and has become one of the country’s leading independent booksellers.

Dubray Books stocks more than 11,000 fiction and non-fiction titles as well as audiobooks, cards, and stationry. It provides on-line ordering through www.dubraybooks.ie

The staff of Dubray Books is thanking all customers “who have showed such loyalty and support through these 10 years” and is inviting them to the shop on Friday 28.
