The Galway Film Centre is running a two-day practical workshop to help aspirant scriptwriters improve and refine their writing skills.
The workshop takes place at Galway Film Centre on Friday February 17 and Saturday 18 from 9.30am to 5.30pm. It will be tutored by the Italian-based tutor Mark McIlrath, who has more than 20 years of experience in editing scripts throughout Europe.
The workshop will focus on what makes a compelling scene and how to write one. Participants will write a variety of scenes and work on their own ideas.
There are only eight places on the workshop. The cost is €120 and early booking is advised. Participants can submit their idea to the tutor prior to the workshop so that they can get more feedback during the workshop.
