THE GALWAY Actors Workshop is offering a series of beginners and specialised acting classes for its spring term.
Improv Comedy starts on Monday January 23 from 6.30pm to 8.30pm; Introduction to Acting on Tuesday 24 from 6.30pm to 8.30pm; Creating Theatre on Wednesday 25 from 11am to 1pm; and Scenes & Monologues on Thursday 26 from 6.30pm to 8.30pm.
The courses take place in the Anno Santo Hotel, Threadneedle Road, Salthill. All courses run for 10 weeks and cost €170/150.
The Galway Actors Workshop is also running a Director’s Masterclass on February 3 and 4 from 11am to 5pm, which is an overview of the directing process for anyone interested in going behind the scenes. The cost is €100/85.
The classes will be taught by Sarah O’Toole, a former member of Galway Youth Theatre and a graduate of the Gaiety School of Acting. She also holds an MA in theatre directing from Middlesex University. She set up her own theatre company and Improv Troupe, Razed Curtain.
