Connacht based training provider to bring FETAC course in drug and alcohol addiction to Galway

Nationally renowned training and education provider The Learning Curve Institute has announced that its popular FETAC Level 5 component certificate in drug and alcohol addiction will run at the Westside Resource Centre, Galway, at the end of this month.

The FETAC Level 5 component certificate in drug and alcohol addiction is now available across the country, in eight different venues, such is the demand for expert accredited training in the field of drug and alcohol addiction.

“This component certificate is extremely popular all over the country as people from all walks of life look to upskill and bolster their CV,” said Liam Printer, director of The Learning Curve Institute. “We are delighted to bring this course to the people of Westside and Galway city, giving them the chance to gain an internationally recognised FETAC accredited minor award in addiction, in just 10 weeks, at a very affordable price.”

The FETAC component certificate is so called because it forms part of a major Level 5 award in community development. The course in drug and alcohol addiction may be of interest to those considering a career in addiction treatment services or community development, or indeed those already employed in the field, who may wish to gain further insight and receive accreditation.

The Learning Curve Institute provides a range of FETAC accredited courses in the fields of addiction, mental health, social studies, communications, and languages. Each of its lecturers favour innovative methods and small student-focused groups. The part time course in drug and alcohol addiction comprises a total of 30 hours of lectures, delivered one night per week, over 10 weeks, meaning someone can gain accredited skills in drug and alcohol addiction treatment in just over two months.
