Alcoholics Anonymous Galway gets ready for annual convention

62 years after it was established in Galway, Alcoholics Anonymous will hold the 37th Annual Galway West Area Convention in the Galway Bay Hotel, Galway from Friday January 6 to Sunday January 8.

Today 800 members attend over 100 meetings between Galway city and county on a regular basis, and all members of the public are welcome to attend the formal opening and public open meeting on Friday night at 8.30pm.

Alcoholics Anonymous is a worldwide fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism.
