Galway’s civic and religious leaders will be delivering their Christmas messages on Galway Bay fm on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
The 23rd annual Christmas messages programme will be broadcast at 6.04pm on Christmas Eve and 1.04pm on Christmas Day and will feature singing by Mayor of Galway Hildegarde Naughton and the cast of Spiddal-produced drama Ros na Run.
This special 45-minute programme is presented by Head of News Bernadette Prendergast, and her guests this year will be Mayor of Galway Hildegarde Naughton; Mayor of County Galway Michael 'Mogie' Maher; Bishop of Galway, Dr Martin Drennan; Church of Ireland Bishop of Tuam, Killala and Achonry, Patrick Rooke, and Presbyterian and Methodist community representative Peter Berrill.
The programme, which is now an integral part of Christmas in Galway, will take a look back at 2011, and will reflect on Christmas past and present in Galway.
