Galway singer seeks public support in YouBloom final

Galway singer-songwriter Rob Wade, a student of Andres Martorell’s G Voice Studio, has reached the 2011 YouBloom Music Awards final.

The YouBloom Music Awards is a worldwide online song contest that was set up last year by Bob Geldof to try to promote, encourage and develop new talent. It is open only to artists, bands and songwriters with original songs. The winner’s prize is €10,000 cash and a headline performance at the YouBloom Music Awards in London early next year.

Last weekend, Bob Geldof along with a panel of music industry judges, voted Rob, a self employed electrician from Ballybane, through to the grand final. Rob’s song ‘My Life Story’ received the second highest judges vote of the 14 songs. The six finalists must fight it out in an online public vote which runs through to this Sunday.

Rob is asking the Galway public to support him in the final. Galwegians can do so by logging onto www.youbloom.com, clicking ‘join’, and following the steps to vote for Rob.
