AWARD WINNING American poet Tamar Yoseloff will read at Over The Edge in the Galway City Library, St Augustine Street, on Thursday December 15 at 6.30pm.
Tamar Yoseloff was born in the US in 1965, but has lived in Britain since 2007. Her first collection, Sweetheart (1998 ) was a Poetry Book Society Special Commendation and winner of the Aldeburgh Festival Prize.
She also received a New Writers’ Award from London Arts for her second collection, Barnard’s Star (2004 ). In 2005 she was Writer in Residence at Magdalene College, Cambridge. She is currently working on a novel. Her most recent poetry collection is The City With Horns (2010 ).
Also reading are Maeve Mulrennan, the Galway Arts Centre’s visual arts officer, and Christopher Meehan who has published papers based on his ornithological work, but also does creative writing.
There will be an open-mic when the featured readers have finished. The MC will be Susan Millar DuMars.
