RITA ANN Higgins will read from her new poetry collection Ireland is Changing Mother at this month’s North Beach Poetry Nights.
The event takes place on Monday at The Crane Bar at 9pm. Rita’s new collection “chronicles the lives of the Irish dispossessed, before as well as since the demise of the Celtic Tiger”.
Also taking place will be the North Beach Poetry Nights 2012 Grand Slam. Eight poets have qualified to take part and there will be a two-round slam for all eight poets. The winning three poets will be published in the North Beach Poetry Nights’ Anthology 2.
Rita Ann, Louis DePaor, and Anna Creadic will be the judges. All are welcome.
