THE KANYU Tree will round off a very successful year with two shows in the Róisín Dubh on Saturday December 17, including an all-ages family show.
The Kanyu Tree - Salthill brothers Shane, Daniel, and Oisín Cluskey - have seen their career take a significant step forward in 2011. Their debut album People Street went into the Top 5, while the singles ‘Radio’ and ‘Shelf Life’ have enjoyed extensive airplay these past few months.
The trio’s white boy funk has struck a chord with Irish music fans, and they have played numerous festivals and venues across the country. They also performed at half-time at the Connacht v Toulouse Heineken Cup match in the Sportsground last month.
The band play the all-ages show in the Róisín at 2pm on Saturday 17 (admission is €6 ) and an over 18s show that same day at 9pm (admission is €10/8 ).
Tickets are available from the Róisín Dubh and www.roisindubh.net
