Ham Sandwich @ Monroe’s Live

HAM SANDWICH have had a great 12 months with their profile rising to new heights throughout 2011 and to top it off they tour Ireland this month.

As part of that tour, the Kells indie-rock band, led by charismatic vocalists Niamh Farrell and Podge, play Monroe’s Live tomorrow at 9.30pm.

The band began the year releasing the single ‘Ants’, from their acclaimed second album White Fox. Video director Marc Corrigan used stop-motion animation to create an animated ant finding himself in the most unlikely of scenarios. The video won the Best Concept Award at the recent IMTV Awards.

This year the band played Forbidden Fruit, Electric Picnic, The Sea Sessions, Indie-Pendence, Leeds, Reading, and South-By-Southwest. Their music has also featured on various TV shows from The Sunday Game to Off The Rails.

Meanwhile White Fox was included in Tony Clayton-Lea’s new book 101 Irish Records You Must Hear Before You Die.

Tickets are €10 and available on the door or through [email protected] and 091 - 583397.
