JULIET TURNER, Mary Coughlan, and Johnny Moynihan are just three of the diverse and outstanding talents that will play The Crane Bar’s Singers and their Songs sessions.
The Singers and their Songs sessions run from December 17 to Christmas Eve and will feature trad, folk, rock, blues, and jazz musicians.
Kicking off the series is the great Mary Coughlan, arguably Ireland’s greatest jazz and blues singer, on Saturday 17 at 6.30pm. Johnny Moynihan, a pivotal figure on the development of Irish folk, a member of Sweeney’s Men, and a gifted songwriter, plays on Sunday 18 at 8pm, accompanied by Mark Gregory.
Tuam’s Noelie McDonnell plays on Monday 19 at 9pm and Seattle born, Galway based, Nicole Blue on Tuesday 20 at 9pm. A trio of great Galway and Kerry singers - Noriana Kennedy, Nicola Joyce, Pauline Scanlan - on Wednesday 21 at 9pm.
County Tyrone singer-songwriter Juliet Turner plays on Thursday 22 at 9pm with support from Mouse McHugh. Emmet O’Malley and his band play on Friday 23 at 9.30pm, while Tony and Jackie Small play on Christmas Eve at 9pm.
