GALWAY COMEDY fans have two major shows to look forward to with the great Stewart Lee and Gift Grub Live 2 show both coming our way in the New Year.
Leading Irish satirist Mario Rosenstock brings his Gift Grub Live 2 to the Radisson Blu Hotel on April 22.
The show will feature Mario’s hilarious takes on Michael ‘Soft Day’ Flatley, Joan ‘Can I Just Say’ Burton, Vincent ‘Ah That’s Very Good’ Browne, as well as Enda Kenny and President Michael D Higgins - all played by one man, Mario himself.
Tickets are €38.70 including booking fee and go on sale on tomorrow at 10am. Phone 0818 - 719300 or see www.ticketmaster.ie
Stewart Lee, “just about the finest funnyman out there,” according to Time Out, will bring his Carpet Remnant World show to the Seapoint Ballroom, Salthill, on Saturday May 19.
What can a sexless middle aged married man, whose life consists of watching Scooby Doo with a four year old boy, possibly find to write comedy about?
Welcome to Carpet Remnant World. The show has already received great critical praise in Britain with The Observer calling it “marvellously funny: mordant, thoughtful and crafted”.
Tickets are €28 including booking fees and are on sale from Ticketmaster. See also www.roisindubh.net
