Anyone who has been to Dublin in the past few weeks for the Food and Wine show at the Royal Dublin Society (RDS ) or who went across the Liffey on the same weekend to see The Taste of Christmas at the Convention Centre Dublin (CCD ) is probably wondering why the subtitle to this book is not ‘as seen everywhere’.
Fulvio graced both venues with her master-classes over those three days and seems to be at every major food festival around the country when not running her cookery school and farmhouse in Wicklow.
With her third television series for RTE now under her apron, this is the book from that eight-parter, showcasing chapters on soups and starters, breads and baking, speedy suppers, meat and fish desserts, among others.
Highlights include sundried tomato and pancetta quiche with Parmesan pastry and cod fingers with mushy peas and roasted sweet potatoes in what is a simple understated glossy hardback of quick recipes and related colourful photographs.
