The Galway City Council is urging Galwegians to get ready for winter, with a new website dedicated to preventing the worst impacts of any forthcoming cold snap.
To help people keep up to date and find out more about reducing the impact of winter weather see www.galwaycity.ie/winter The public can also follow City Hall via Facebook and Twitter. The public can also sign up for free text alerts as well as seeing the latest information on water and road conditions on maps.
