Public talk on Charles Lamb in Galway City Museum

The work of one of Ireland’s great impressionist artists, Charles Lamb, will be the focus of a talk in Galway City Museum this evening at 6pm.

The talk will be given by the artist and scholar Walter Verling and Lamb’s daughter Laillí Lamb de Buitléar. Mr Verling has a special connection to Charles Lamb, being one of the last artists to study under the master in his summer school in An Cheathrú Rua.

Admission to the talk is free and takes place on the first floor of the museum. The talk will mark the last phase of the museum’s Lamb in Connemara, a collection of more than 30 works by Lamb. The exhibition runs until January 14.
