From launch, the Irish engine range for the new Volkswagen CC (formerly called the Passat CC ) will comprise powerful and efficient 2.0-litre TDI 140bhp or 170bhp common rail diesels, both in tax band B. Both engines are available optionally with six speed manual or seven speed auto DSG.
All derivatives will have Blue Motion Technologies as standard. The 170bhp now has a standard XDS differential, an electronic cross-axle traction control system for improved traction and handling.
Volkswagen Ireland says the CC has been extremely popular in Ireland since its launch in 2008, and is expected to arrive in the Irish market in March 2012. The German carmaker says more details including pricing will be available nearer to the launch date.
