From December 1, Galway’s Carlton Hotel on the Dublin Road will stage an ice skating extravaganza. The Ice Factor’s rink will occupy 600 square metres at the front of the hotel.
Ice Factor will provide corporate deals, family deals, group deals, birthday deals and a whole lot more.
They are offering some great packages to schools. They will even come and get you, bring you skating, feed you and drop you home again. Ice Factor also caters for birthday parties. There are party games organised by the Friendly Fellows kids club. To help your toddler get confident on the ice, they have special ice shoes available.
Skating facilities will be provided at a cost of €15 per adult, €10 per child, special group rates may apply.
For those who do not want to skate and just wish to relax and watch the fun, the Christmas Café, open from 10am until 8pm daily, offers a selection of hot and cold food using locally sourced produce, and a large choice of wines, spirits, beers, soft drinks and winter warmers such as mulled wine, hot whiskey or hot chocolate.
There will also be a special guest appearing at Ice Factor, as Santa will be visiting at pre-arranged times.
The Carlton is offering a Skate and Stay Break which will see a family of four, two adults, two children stay at the hotel on a midweek break for as little as €130. This offer includes one night B & B and a 45-minute ice skating session for the whole family.
