SANTA’S APPRENTICE, an animation for children aged between two and nine, will be screened in the Town Hall Theatre this Saturday at 12 noon.
Santa is coming towards retirement and must find someone he can train to take over the job. He must be an orphan named Nicholas and have a pure heart. One boy who is a perfect match, but his lack of self-confidence and fear of heights make him a poor contestant. Santa may be about to face his biggest challenge yet.
Santa’s Apprentice, which is being screened as part of the Junior Galway Film Fleadh, won the special UNICEF award at the Annecy International Animation Festival in France. The award recognises the animation which highlights the goals of the Convention on the Rights of the Child.
