NUALA NÍ Chonchúir will launch her third poetry collection at the inaugural Ballinasloe Literary Day in Gullane’s Hotel, Ballinasloe, this Saturday at 2pm.
The Juno Charm, published by Salmon Poetry, explores the pain of pregnancy loss and fertility struggles. Author Mary O’Donnell said of the book: “To read The Juno Charm is to encounter a writer...whose work both charms and challenges. Nuala Ní Chonchúir reveals herself yet again as a witty and energetic purveyor of the happiness and pleasure that lie on the far side of the wall of common experience.”
Ní Chonchúir is the author of the novel You and the short story collections Nude and To The World of Men, Welcome. All are welcome at the launch. The guest speaker will be poet Mary Melvin Geoghegan. Refreshments will be served.
