THE TULCA festival of visual art ends on Sunday, but before then there are plenty of events taking place over the weekend to explore.
On Saturday, TULCA will hold an Open Studio Day, where local art studios Engage and Artspace will open their doors to the public and the artists will be in their studios to discuss their artistic practice between 12 noon and 5pm.
Artspace Studios is located at The Black Box Theatre on Dyke Road, and 7/8 Adley Park, Liosbán. Engage is located in the old Cathedral Building on Middle Street.
As part of Open Studio Day, a curator’s talk will take place in Nun’s Island Theatre with Croatian curatorial collective What, How & For Whom?/WHW at 6pm.
WHW are concerned with the planning, concept, and realisation of exhibitions, as well as the production and distribution of artworks or the artist’s position in the labour market. All are welcome.
