Galway’s Medtronic through to Connacht final

Medtronic (Galway ) 3-14

Harmac (Roscommon ) 0-07

Medtronic are through to this year’s Connacht interfirms final again after a convincing victory over Harmac from Castlerea in the recent Connacht semi final.

The result was never in doubt as goals in quick succession from Robert Holian and Kevin Kilroy midway through the first half set the winners on the way to an eight-point advantage at the interval.

The winners kicked some delightful scores, with efforts from Cathal Kenny and a long-range effort from Mervyn Grimes the pick of the scores.

Both sides exchanged early second-half points as Medtronic kept their half-time advantage intact.

The winners were on top at midfield and, with their greater teamwork, they dominated the remainder of the contest. Tom Prendergast, David Hogan, Kevin Kilroy and Darragh Mullen all found the target before a third goal from Kevin Kilroy crowned a great evening for the Galway men.

Medtronic will now meet Mayo Garda in the final.
