Bags of style

RehabCare is urging women to avail of a great opportunity to declutter their wardrobes by donating handbags in good condition to this good cause.

The organisation, which is based at Liosbaun Business Park and caters for adults with mild to moderate learning difficulties, is seeking bags in all shapes, colours and sizes for its Bag Lovers Fest which takes place at the Meyrick Hotel, Eyre Square on Sunday November 27 from 12 to 4pm.

It is appealing for fashion, day/evening bags, purses, luggage, baby changing bags, children’s character bags, laptop bags, even man bags.

The event also allows women to expand their handbag collections by buying bags at not-to-be-missed prices.

Among those who have already donated are RTE’s Eileen Dunne and Audrey McGrath, former TV3 personality Lorraine Keane, Jennifer Maguire from The Apprentice, TG4’s Roisin ni Thomain and Gemma Ni Chionnaith.

Mary Finn of RehabCare says the fundraiser is an ideal way to help declutter your wardrobe as well as indulging your handbag habit.

“Now you too can have the pleasure of expanding your own collection with bags for every occasion and every outfit without the guilt of spending a small fortune.”

Bags can be dropped off at RehabCare, 5b Liosbaun Business Park, Tuam Road, Galway. Telephone Mary Finn at (091 ) 764079 or Ollie Robinson at (087 ) 2437009 for further information or to arrange collection.
