Despite being narrowly defeated in the All-Ireland final to Wexford, the Galway camogie team was honoured last weekend with the selection of six 2011 All Stars.
Goalkeeper Susan Earner collected her first award and she was joined on the podium by defenders Therese Maher, Ann Marie Hayes and Lorraine Ryan.
Midfielder Niamh Kilkenny took a centre-field berth for her sterling displays all year and team captain Brenda Hanney secured a place in the full forward line.
