Croí brightens day for ambulance children

Local charity Croí have recently launched a novel initiative in partnership with the National Ambulance Service to help reduce the fear and anxiety of young children who have to travel to and between hospitals by

ambulance.

The scheme aims to help ambulance personnel and medical staff reassure and comfort anxious or distressed children by presenting them with a Certificate of Bravery and a fun sticker.

Croí has a long association with the ambulance service in the west of Ireland and speaking at the launch, Croí’s CEO Neil Johnson said: “We are very happy to be involved in this initiative which recognises the bravery of young children. We are also very pleased to work closely with the ambulance service who are always so attentive to those in their care, particularly the very young and the elderly.”
