Citóg at the Cellar celebrates Halloween in style

Citóg celebrates Halloween in style this Friday with a typically inventive and exciting line-up. There will be a fancy dress party, a free mixtape, some original poster art, as well as three of the finest up and coming acts in the country. Getting proceedings under way are girl punk pop band Fred & Bob, described by Hotpress as "a roughed up Jades with a nastier Blondie".

Next up Dublin electronica wizard Tenaka takes to the stage. Tenaka has recently received much praise for his Ephemeral EP which features local acts Elaine Mai and Daithi. Described as "excellent" by Dan Hegarty, and "superb" by Nialler9, Tenaka is certainly on the way to big things and this represents a wonderful chance to catch him live.

Finally, to top the night off, the brilliant Rural Savage will bring their very own blend of punk rock and poetry to the stage. Think Dead Kennedy's mixed with Jinx Lennon and you are almost there. With intelligent and often hilarious lyrics mixed with a swinging surf punk sound, Rural Savage are the perfect band to kick off your Halloween weekend off with. Admission, as always, is free.
