GALWAY STORYTELLER Clare Muireann Murphy performs her two farewell shows at the Town Hall Studio this weekend before moving to London.
The shows, entitled Looking Back and Moving On, will be a two evening retrospective looking at Clare’s favourite stories from her career so far. Anyone who has a favourite story they have heard from Clare should contact www.claremurphy.org and she will try to include it in the show.
Clare moves to London next month to start a storytelling company with Dominic Kelly and Jo Blake Cave as well as to further her own training. She is performing the two shows as a farewell and thanks to the community that helped her get started as a storyteller.
“Galway is an amazing place to get started as an artist,” she says. “Whatever you imagine, you can do here. There has been so much support for my work I can’t imagine I would be where I am today without that.”
Looking Back and Moving On is at the Town Hall studio this Saturday and Sunday at 8.30pm. Each show runs for one hour with different material on each night.
Tickets are available from the Town Hall on 091 - 569777 and www.tht.ie
