Public meeting on Foróige Club for Oranmore

Foróige will host a free information evening tomorrow at 7.30pm on setting up a Foróige Club for Oranmore.

The meeting will take place in City Limits and is open to all young people to attend and find out how the Foróige Club will involve music, sport, fun, friendships, inter club events, and educational programmes.

Parents must accompany their intrested son/daughter on the evening for registration. This club is advertising for members from secondary school pre Junior Cycle students.

Foróige is a leading national voluntary youth development organisation whose fundamental purpose is to enable young people to involve themselves consciously and actively in their own development and in the development of society.

Foróige clubs are ‘owned’ by the young people, allowing them to experience democracy first hand through the election of a club committee and the management, and operation of the club in co-operation with the adult leaders

Anyone over 18 years can apply to be an adult volunteer in the Foróige club. Those interested in volunteering and unable to attend the meeting should contact Gerry Prior, regional youth officer on 086 - 2478007 or by email [email protected]
