A six-hour cycleathon will take place in the Galway Shopping Centre this Saturday as part of a marathon fundraising effort for local heart charity Croí.
The cycleathon will take place beside Tesco between 11am and 5pm. Organiser Carmel Fallon plans to run the New York Marathon on November 6 to raise funds for Croí, and Saturday’s event forms part of her fundraising campaign.
Heart disease and stroke are Ireland’s leading causes of death and disability, affecting one in two families. Croí, the West of Ireland Cardiac Foundation, is dedicated to reducing the impact of heart disease and stroke through prevention, lifestyle changes, and enhanced cardiac care.
