Hartmanns of Galway, in association with Tag Heuer, the official timekeepers of the Rugby World Cup 2011/12, will present watch to the Connacht Player of the Month.
The award will be presented monthly to Connacht players who have demonstrated exceptional skill on the pitch, as well as displaying dedication to the club, integration with the squad, and interaction with the wider community.
Coach Eric Elwood says the Player of the Month award is highly sought after within the squad, reflecting the hard work the players do on the pitch and also the contribution they make off the field.
“Having a family-owned business with a reputation such as Hartmanns of Galway sponsoring the award with a Tag Heuer watch, adds value to the honour and we are delighted with the partnership.
The first recipient of the Player of the Month Award is Michael Swift - the 33-years-old who is an integral member of the squad and heavily involved with as many aspects of the club off the field as he is on the pitch.
