GALWEGIANS LOOKING for a night of blues, funk, and rhythm‘n’blues are in for a treat when B & The Honeyboys play The Cellar Bar this Sunday.
B & The Honeyboys are Kieran McEvoy, who has a “kick ass full-on electric guitar style for which the word gritty might have been specially coined” according to Hot Press’s Jackie Hayden.
Hayden has also praised band vocalist B (aka Aileen Mythen ). “A real discovery,” he wrote, “her bluesy voice filling your head with pure soul as she gets under the skin of the songs and sings them from the inside out.”
The line-up is completed by Shane Atlas from London on drums and Paddy Joyce from Dublin on bass. B & The Honeyboy’s single ‘Set My Heart On Fire’ is available from downloadmusic.ie and their album is available from CD Baby.
