Germans recognise Mazda3 for reliability

Mazda continues to triumph on the Auto Bild endurance test. Following the success of Mazda6 and Mazda5, now the Mazda3 has passed the respected German motoring magazine’s 100,000 km endurance test with flying colours. Mazda tells us that its score is further proof of the high product quality, reliability, and durability of its vehicles.

Mazda’s compact best-seller had only one insignificant defect point after the long-term, two-year test drive – a defective plastic clip in the luggage compartment cover. This means Mazda3 achieved the top score and is now the third Mazda model ranked among the top three cars on Auto Bild’s tough endurance test – something no other carmaker has accomplished.

“Mazda is a prime address for anyone looking for a worry-free automobile,” Auto Bild editors wrote in their conclusion. They went on to add: “That legendary Japanese reliability is still alive and kicking here.”

The Mazda3, the most popular Mazda model on the Irish market, has built its sales success thanks primarily to a reputation of bullet-proof reliability. Customers also enjoy generous levels of standard specification. The chassis and suspension set-up makes the Mazda3 one of the most fun cars to drive in the segment.

The most popular engine in the Mazda3 range is the 1.6-litre diesel. Sitting in the lowest road tax band A (€104 per annum ), and averaging 4.5L/100km (62mpg ), this diesel unit is the natural choice for Irish consumers.

The latest Mazda3 facelift version, with updated technology and design, will go on sale here for January (2012 ). Mazda claims the facelifted model will be more appealing with a newly-designed front face, along with new materials on the inside for higher quality-feel. And facelift engineers have improved interior comfort by lowering cabin noise levels even further. Watch this space.
