Charity concert at Town Hall

ARTY MCGLYNN, Jim Rooney, John Faulkner, and friends, will take to the stage of the Town Hall Theatre on Tuesday November 18 at 8pm for a special charity concert.

All proceeds from this show will go towards the Soundscape Music Project for people with a learning disability and/or autism. All of the acts on the night will use a specially hand crafted acoustic guitar worth €3,000 which was kindly donated by American luthier Charles Sanzone. This guitar will be raffled at the end of the show.

Arty McGlynn is aruablty the most influential guitarist in traditional music. Multi-instrumentalist John Faulkner has recorded and performed with De Danann and Dolores Keane. Nashville’s Jim Rooney is best known for producing Nanci Griffith’s Grammy winning album Other Voices Other Rooms.

They will be joined by Alec Finn, Kathleen Loughnane, Marc Roberts, Frank Kilkelly, Jimmy Fitzgerald, Daire McSwiney, Padraig Stevens, and Ruth Dillon. The MC will be James Mahon.
