Art auction for hospital arts programme

THE GALWAY University Hospitals Arts Trust will hold a charity auction in the Rowing Club on Friday October 21 to raise funds for its arts programme.

The auction will be hosted by Rod Goodall, the actor best known for his work with Footsbarn Theatre, Macnas, and Blue Teapot Theatre. Music will be provided by The Molly Hicks and Totem Roll.

Up for auction will be works by John Behan, Siobhán Piercy, Mary Horan, Annie West, Elaine Byrne, Aideen Barry, Kieran Tobin, Eithna Joyce, Cliona Fox, Tony Gunning, Emmet Kierans, Charlotte Kelly, Ceara Conway, Paul Maye, Diane McCabe, Leah Beggs, Kamil Krawczak, and Pam O’Connell.

GUHAT is a charitable organisation that runs activities in UHG and Merlin Park, which use the arts to help with patient healing and well-being and as a way for staff and patients to express themselves creatively and improve their quality of life.
