Galway photographer Reg Gordon is seeking a city centre based vacant space for use in November to display a major exhibition of his latest photographic project.
Reg is currently competing Tribe, in which he has photographed numerous Galwegians from all walks of life including small business owners, artists, musicians, athletes, etc. This week will mark the final week of shooting for the project, which in total has taken 10 months.
He is now seeking a space to exhibit 90 of the photos and is appealing for help from anyone who would be willing to make such a space available for the show.
“I am looking for a city centre based vacant space of some 1,400sq ft with disabled access from mid-November,” he said. “It could be a great opportunity for someone to showcase a vacant property and become a partner in something that will be very special.”
Reg is also looking to produce a high quality coffee table book from the Tribe photography project.
“Tribe is an attempt to document the people that help give Galway its unique character,” he said, “a way to celebrate those who have stayed instead of lamenting those who have left. A way of showing how proud we should be of our community.”
