All Ireland winning u-21 football manager Alan Mulholland is expected to take over as senior manager.
Mulholland was interviewed by the football board selection committee on Tuesday night for the position of Galway senior manager.
County secretary Seamus O’Grady confirmed yesterday it was highly likely he would be proposed to the club delegates next Monday for ratification.
Assuming he is ratified on Monday, and that is considered a formality in most GAA circles, Mulholland’s back room team is expected to be the same as the one that won the All-Ireland U-21 title earlier in the season, with Donal Ó Flatharta and Alan Flynn as his selectors.
