Intensive Irish course for prospective primary school teachers

Galwegians awaiting an interview for a graduation diploma in education (primary teaching ), should take advanatage of a Conradh Na Gaeilge course to prepare candidates for the interview’s Irish language element.

Marino Institute of Education, St Patrick’s College of Education, and Mary Immaculate College, Limerick are holding interviews in mid December for their Post Graduate Diplomas leading to a qualification in primary school teaching.

Prospective students must demonstrate competency in spoken Irish in order to qualify for these courses.

A weekend intensive Irish language course will take place in Conradh Na Gaeilge, 45 Sráid Doiminic, on Friday November 21 and Saturday 22. The classes are specifically designed to refresh participants’ Irish and give them confidence in conversation and interview skills.

Classes will take place from 7pm to 9pm on Friday 21 and from 10am to 5pm on Saturday. The cost is €100. Class sizes are limited and early registration is advisable. For more information contact Conradh Na Gaeilge on 091 - 567824 or email [email protected]
