Elverys Sports is celebrating its success in raising €40,000 for the ISPCC this week.
The money raised for the charity comes from the sale of a gym bag that costs €2 which has been sold in all Elverys Sports stores in recent months.
More than 50,000 bags were sold in Elverys Sports stores around the country since the campaign was launched last December.
Ashley Balbirnie, ISPCC CEO, says the funds raised will help the ISPCC support some of the most vulnerable children in Ireland.
“Thank you to everyone at Elverys Sports and their customers for their ongoing enthusiasm and commitment in their support of the ISPCC. Every euro raised helps us work with more children to build better, brighter futures.”
Loman Caulfield, Elverys Sports marketing director, says the stores customers’ must be thanked for their generosity.
“We’re delighted to support the ISPCC as the official charity partner of Elverys Sports. We would like to thank all our Elverys Sports customers across the country for their generosity in these difficult times. Our joint campaign goes from strength to strength and following the success of the gym bags we are looking forward to launching our Elverys Sports / ISPCC beanie hats in the coming weeks.”
The sales of the gym bags and beanies are two of a number of ongoing fundraising activities, which will culminate in a team of Elverys Sports workers climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in October.
“Through these initiatives we are determined to raise as much money as possible to help the ISPCC continue their vital work.”
