The county Galway village of Oranmore walked away with the national and regional Tidy Towns’ Best Bring Bank Award at the national awards in Dublin recently.
The award is a special competition sponsored by Repak to recognise community support in maintaining local bring bank sites and assisting in their general appearance and usage.
The Oranmore Bring Bank Centre is located in the main car park next to the parish church.
Art students at the local Calasanctius College revamped it last year and a distinguishing feature is the wall mural depicting a wave of flying bottles all making their way to the Bring Bank.
