THERE WILL be songs - some sacred, some secular; there will be storytelling, and field recordings, and cartoon videos to watch while you listen.
This is what a Sam Amidon performances consists of and Galway audiences can look forward to this eclectic talent when he presents his show Home Alone Inside My Head: An Evening with Sam Amidon upstairs in the Róisín Dubh on Friday September 30 at 9pm.
The Vermont native will perform radical reworkings of secular ballads, gospel, folk songs, and hymns on banjo, guitar, and fiddle. The songs will be accompanied by projections of Sam’s own hand-drawn cartoons and short videos, as well as field recording from the Georgia Sea Islands.
Check out Sam’s latest album I See The Sign. Support is from Elaine Mai.
Tickets are available from the Róisín Dubh and www.roisindubh.net
